Disappointed

Love the desktop version! The app. Worked for 1 day only! Not happy

Some confusion in advertising -- otherwise, great!

Sidekick used to be Signals -- I didnt know this for the first week or so that I was using it. So when searching the website for support, FAQs, and even some of their email marketing (the email I got today that prompted me to write a review had a button that said Signals), I was confused until someone told me this. Not a huge deal. The main confusion I have in their marketing is the "profiles" that they mention -- at this point I am convinced you need to tie it in with hub spot or SF. The cons on the app -- no badge notifications (only banner). You cant edit an email once writing it in the app and it sends it to Apple Mail. Also, when sending an email to multiple people, it only alerts you that "someone" has opened the email. Wondering if there are any ways around this? The good -- one-to-one emails-- I see when they are opened.

SUGGESTION

Hello, I just want to let you know that while I love this app, the fact that every time I open an email on the gmail iOS app I get a notification that the sender of that email (if it is an email thread) opened my email is very annoying. Every time, always within seconds. Even if I know they didnt. Please fix!

Unopened Emails

Great app. Needs an option to show unopened only. After only a few emails you cant see anymore and there is no way to check.

Can Still See "Connect to Google"

The "Connect To Google" menu is still visible even after Ive connected the app to my Google account. Otherwise works well

Great App!

Before using this app, I thought my emails must be going into oblivion. Rarely got responses. Now I can see that at least they received and opened my email. Still, not that many respond. Possibly, I need to change the way I write an email.

No good for iPad

The whole interface feels really clunky on my iPad.

Glitchy

The app gives me notifications, telling me that the recipient has opened the email, every time I view a tracked email using the iOS Gmail app. This makes the sidekick app unusable--dont waste your time with this app if you use the gmail app. Not recommended. I also tried the fix to this glitch recommended on the website, but it didnt work.

Useful, but....

It doesnt work all the time. For example, I sent a tracked email this morning. I never got a notification from Sidekick that the recipient had opened it, but I received an email reply from the recipient. Obviously, she opened the email I sent. Also, it would be much more useful if there was a way to send replies to existing emails via the app. Sometimes Id like to track responses to emails Ive received but seems I can only do that from the desktop. Great tool, in theory, but could use some improvements.

Pleasantly pleased & no more ?s

Its great. I have the app for both work and personal email accounts. For work its especially awesome because I no longer wonder if someone got my email. I can see exactly when they opened it, how many times they opened it or even whether it was on the desktop or mobile phone. Its made it really easy to stay in front of someone: I get a notification they just opened my email and if I havent heard back from them, I can ping them at the same time theyre reading my email to try to prompt them to respond. I really like it I think its been really useful and its taken a lot of the guesswork out of email communication.

Missing the schedule feature

Im using Sidekick mainly for the ability to schedule an email for the future. I like to handle e-mail when it comes in, but I dont want customers to think they can reach me any time of the day or night. The schedule feature helps me to keep expectations in line that they will receive a response during regular business hours.

Linked itself to alternate e-mail address

Like most people, I have a professional e-mail address and a personal one. I have Sidekick linked to my professional e-mail address at google. Thats my login address, its the only address Ive ever used it with. Recently, I sent an e-mail using the Sidekick app from my phone. The e-mail was a thank you/follow-up for a job interview Id had earlier in the day, so I wanted to track it. Since I only had Sidekick linked to my gmail account, I assumed it would send from there. Silly assumption. The app - without any sort of notification or permission request - linked itself to another e-mail address of mine, at yahoo, and sent the e-mail from that account. The app has no "from" line on the e-mail composition screen and there is absolutely NO indication that it even has the ability to link itself to another e-mail address (which should NOT be a thing). So now Ive made myself look incredibly unprofessional and possibly lost out on a great job opportunity. Thanks, sidekick! Add to that, Ive been having the same issue others have complained about where if I open an e-mail that I sent, the app tells me that the recipient opened the e-mail. Theres a way to tell the app that you were the one who opened it, which is supposed to block it from mistaking you for your recipient, but it doesnt work. Its made that mistake with e-mails Ive opened both from my computer and from my phone and it makes zero difference. Theres also no way to get rid of the false notifications, which is incredibly frustrating. Bottom line: if its important, dont use the app. Of course, if its not important, why are you trying to track it anyway?

Needs Debugging

When you open an email that you sent, it will say the recipient opened it. When you go to that message in the app to report it as faulty, it gives you the option to block your device from being perceived as the recipient opening the email. As of now the app is useless on the mobile device, but the desktop version i have no problems with.

Location name error

Taiwan is not a province of China, please fix it.

Scheduling feature!

Decided to download and use sidekick in my business Gmail account, wrote a lengthy email to the heads of a number of different departments, each department had a applicable paragraph of the email subject pertaining to their individual departments. Scheduled a time for it to be sent... I got a follow-up email from the CFO of the company so I needed to make a few edits in some of the paragraphs for individual department heads. When I unscheduled the email in sidekick there was no draft there was no email there was nothing!!! I now have to write the entire lengthly email from scratch again with the revisions! I do not recommend sidekick as a ease-of-use program to help you save time!

Horrible

Dont bother. Youll just get tons of notifications from people you dont know reading an email you never sent.

Just one thing wrong

If I go to re-read a sent message it gives me a notification that the person read it, when they didnt. I tried to block my phone as a device and an error message comes up. I REALLY want to block my own device. Please look in to. Other than that, its PERFECT

Not good

I tested this on 3 friends. Two came back but one did not. That friend sent me a screen capture showing when they owned the email. Also there is no record of the send email in the app. I only know when it is opened but not what I sent and when.

No support, no login

This app wont let you login. Password resets wont help. No easy way to contact their support. Just irritating.

Cannot login

I have a HubSpot account but cannot login using my credentials.
